Why I’m Running
The current school committee members are to be commended for the work they have done to support Smithfield Public Schools. However, the needs of schools are growing more dynamic, and we need more innovative solutions.
If elected, I would be the only school committee member who is currently working in the field of education. My experience and leadership skills will help Smithfield Public Schools meet the current and future needs of our students and challenges yet unknown.
School committee members must be intimately familiar with best practices, and current educational trends and pedagogy to help the district innovate and meet the needs of the next 10-20 years.
