An Educator and Parent
I am a lifelong Rhode Island resident educated in Rhode Island public schools. My mother was born and raised in Greenville and I spent every Sunday visiting my grandmother on Greenville Avenue. I have fond memories of going to the A&W and swimming in Slacks Pond.
Smithfield holds a special place in my heart, and I jumped at the opportunity to live here. My wife and I chose to live in the town of Smithfield because it was clear that the community and schools valued more than just test scores. The district believes in innovation and focuses on educating the whole child.
Our son just finished 5th grade and our daughter 2nd grade at LaPerche Elementary School. We love this community and our schools. I seek a position on the school committee so that I can use my experience to help support the district grow and innovate.
